Michael Morpurgo : War Horse

By Małgorzata Mikos - 2.5.17

Why does this war have to destroy anything and everything that’s fine and beautiful?

If it is possible to be happy in the middle of a nightmare, then Topthorn and I were happy that summer.

Any problem can be solved between people if only they can trust each other.

About what this book is
"War Horse" is a touching story about a horse called Joey, a farm horse, is sold to the army and witnesses battle from both side of the trenches, and his experiences and adventures during service in World War I and the special bond he has with a young boy named Albert.
Every page of this book shows the pure madness of the War and the various place, people and tragedies. That special feeling of being lost, not-understand, attempt to find the own place, a normal life.

Why you should read it

Because the story inside is just wonderful, touching and sad, but wonderful. This book is so beautiful in many ways.

Things to look out for

     Emotions. Language. Wonderful descriptions.

The last word about the book

"War Horse" isn't a long book, it has around 200 pages, but if something is really good you don't need more to be hit by the words and the story. The story is very interesting and you're reading it quickly and with a true pleasure. But the truth is that it's good to read this book when you have more than five seconds... I am sure you will be lost with among words of this book.
