R, the main flesh eating character, is something or somebody between human and zombie.
He doesn't know his past or even name, except that his name maybe started with the letter R. He can even speak a few syllables and almost all the time he is thinking about being an alive creature and trying to understand why he is still alive. That's why he is the outsider - because he is a zombie with a dead heart and philosophical thoughts. His days come and go and are almost all the same and he longs for memories and normal life.
One day he's meeting Julie, who we see only through R's eyes. When he eats the brain of a young man named Perry he gets flashbacks of Perry's life and memories of moments with his girlfriend Julie who he rescues from the other zombies and leads her back to his home - a 747 commercial jet parked at the end of a boarding tunnel. Since then things begin to change for him. He is changing and something inside of him is beginning to live.
A love between human and zombie and zombie turning into the man again - a collision of two worlds.
Who will win - a human nature or a zombie nature? Which civilization will survive?

"Warm Bodies" is like a post-apocalyptic "Romeo and Juliet" where we have two fighting families - People and Zombies. The first-person narrator is taking us to the world of emptiness, fight and never-ending thoughts about life and humanity.

"Warm Bodies", a book of Real World and Zombie World. In my opinion, this novel is unique and good writing. Of course, there are a few bad moments but together is an epic thing. "Warm Bodies" - unusual, zombie novel.
